James McPherson RWM 1917-1919
Bro McPherson was the only PM whose photograph did not appear in the Jubilee brochure produced in 1951. The reason for this omission would have remained a mystery had his great granddaughter not contacted the web site to try to get information about a tea set which had been presented to him in 1920. She has now very kindly sent a photograph of her great grandfather taken at his golden wedding when he was not in the best of health and in fact died shortly afterwards. Later she sent a photo of the tea set and of a necklace which had been presented to her great grandmother and a scan of the inscription on the teapot which reads
