Regular Meeting of 1 August 2007

On arriving at the lodge for the August meeting, the brethren were surprised to find that the floor of the lodge had been removed to show the original floor from 1909. The floor is being  replaced due to its unevenness and suspicions that it is sinking - hopefully for the first meeting in September. The August meeting attracted an attendance of 48 Brethren including two brethren from Lodge St Michael No 7883 EC; The RWM of Lodge St Mary Coltness No 31; Lodge New Monkland Montrose No 88; Lodge Union and Crown No103; two brethren from Lodge St John No 187; The RWM of Wilsontown Iron Works St John's Lodge No 236; Lodge St Andrew Military No 668; Lodge Whifflet St John No 963; Lodge Dura No 1513; Lodge Maudslie Castle No 1650; Lodge The Duke of Hamilton No 1636. 

The RWM announced the death of Bro Frank Todd PM at the age of 82. Bro Frank joined the lodge in 1956 and was RWM in 1963-4. One minute's silence was observed as a token of respect.

The degree for the evening was a first degree ably conferred by the Lodge Office bearers. 

At the close of the meeting the brethren adjourned to the lounge for some light refreshments.
