Visitation to 306 on 4 January 2007

The first visitation of 2007 was to Lodge St Thomas No 306 and attracted a large deputation of around 30 Brethren including 21 from 919 and several visitors with the RWM and IPM of the Operative Lodge of Airdrie No 203 prominent among these. This was the first visit by 919 to Lodge St Thomas if not the first ever. The degree for the evening was unusually a first degree ably conferred by a youthful group of office bearers and younger brethren and was well received by the large turn out. In congratulating the RWM and the degree team, the RWM of 306 hoped that this would be another early link in the chain of friendship between the two lodges. We then adjourned to the lounge to enjoy some refreshment and a lengthy if not very melodious harmony.

Visitation to 305 on 11 January 2007

The second visitation of 2007 ( once again before we held a regular meeting at New Stevenston) was to Lodge Woodhall St Johns No 305 and attracted a respectable deputation of 15 Brethren. As usual we first-footed 305 on this our annual visit there. The degree for the evening was an exemplification of a second degree ably conferred by the RWM and office bearers of 919 and was well received by the brethren present. The RWM of 305 remarked that the " candidate " would be doing things in reverse receiving his first degree at the next meeting. We then adjourned to enjoy some refreshment and the renewal of old friendships with the brethren of 305..

Visitation to 1461 on 12 February 2007

Twelve brethren , headed by the RWM, made the trip down the M8 to Bargeddie where we were greeted by seven brethren from Lodge Heatheryknowe No 1461, whose RWM was unable to attend with the IPM in his place. Due to the lack of numbers we had to help 1461 open the lodge and receive the deputation. The degree for the evening was an exemplification of the first degree ably conferred by the RWM and office bearers. The IPM of 1461 congratulated the RWM of 919 on an excellent degree and apologised for the lack of numbers. However although there was little atmosphere in the lodge there was no lack of enthusiasm among the brethren of both lodges. We then enjoyed a good pie and some light refreshment before going home at a comparatively early hour.

Visitation to 1314 on 17 April 2007

Fourteen brethren , headed by the RWM, made the trip over to Airdrie to visit  Lodge Caldercruix St John No 1314. The degree for the evening was a third degree ably conferred by the RWM and office bearers. This was the first time we had tackled the third degree this year ( The last one was in November 2006) and everybody was a wee bit rusty. However the degree was well received by our hosts and by a very interested candidate. We then enjoyed a good harmony with a good variety of food and some songs and jokes before making our way home..

Visitation to 1228 on 24 April 2007

A deputation of twenty brethren, headed by the RWM and including a PM from Lodge Dura No 1513, made the short trip to Motherwell to visit Lodge Motherwell Caledonian No 1228. This was a special meeting and the degree was an exemplification of the first degree which was one of the best first degrees we have conferred recently. Apart from the RWM who conferred the obligation and the PM who invested the Apron, the rest of the degree was delivered by a master mason and some young office bearers, the most senior of whom was the Inner Guard, so this augurs well for the future of the lodge. After the meeting we enjoyed a plate of soup and a pie and optional beans washed down by beer and spirits.
